"I advise those of you weighted down by the pervasive irony and posing of modern times to give your hard-working personas a few hours off and go see it."
Emily Hall - The Stranger
From the book "Free To Be...You And Me" conceived by Marlo Thomas. Adapted for the stage by Douglas Love and Regina Safran. Contributions by Judy Blume, Dan Greenberg, Carol Hall, Sheldon Harnick, Bruce Hart, Edward Kleban, Elaine Laron, Shephen Lawrence, Betty Miles, Shelley Miller, Carl Reiner, Mary Rodgers, Shel Silverstein, and Peter Stone.
Marlo Thomas conceived a children's musical that, instead of telling children who they should be, would open them up to the possibilities of whom they could be. Life enhancing themes are imaginatively blended with music and humor to expand children's horizons, enabling them to invent their own futures without limitation.
