Since OCT's production of Nick's dark comedy "The Fiend's Friendly Counsel" in 1993 Nick has worked with Open Circle in various capacities from resident playwright to actor. OCT's productions of Nick's plays include the Edgar Allen Poe short-story adaption "The Shadow", the surreal comic road-play hit (and winner of Seattle Times'Footlight Award for Best New Play)"ETA: Phoenix", and the impermissable sketch comedy of "The Veggie Underground and Nicko." Nick was also seen in Open Circle's "The Dragon" and "The Firebugs." Nick is a winner of the International One-Page Play Competition at La Mama in New York and a multi award winner at the Kennedy Center-American College Theater Festivals. Nick's plays have been invited to be shown at the Assoc. for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) Conference and the Edinburgh Theater Festival. In the Northwest Nick is a two time winner of the Northwest Playwright's Series in Eugene and a two-time participant in Printer's Devil of Seattle's New Play Bonanza. Currently Nick can be found in Las Vegas finishing up his MFA in Playwriting and teaching at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and participating as a member of Las Vegas' own Poor Playwright's Theater.
